Huia was inducted into Queenstown Rotary last week. Huia hails from Tauranga. Last year she completed her tertiary education with two degrees at Otago University - a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics.
Huia attended Tauranga Girls’ College where she was involved in several sports including rowing, triathlons, swimming and water polo and became the TGC’s Sport’s Captain. Huia excelled in Rowing whilst at school and continued whilst studying at Otago University. She was a member of the Otago Women’s Eight that won the Eights title at the 2017 International Universities Rowing Regatta in China beating teams from top world universities.
Huia is working at QLDC as a ‘Monitoring & Enforcement Officer’ and we are delighted to have her join us at Queenstown Rotary.
